They are chased by their murderers on their ways home from the so called ¿maquiladoras¿, which are factories where they work for a little sum of money and produce TVs or computers for the USA at the assembly lines. The young women are violated and raped by their kidnappers and later their dead bodies are buried somewhere in the desert of Mexico. Nevertheless, the police and the whole government of Juárez try to camouflage these events. The number of victims, published by the police, is about 375 women, whereas the estimated number of unreported cases is about 5000. Gregory Nava made these true events to the story of his movie Bordertown from 2006. The tortures the women of Juárez have to experience and the underlying topic of border-crossing are the essential subjects of Bordertwon. Furthermore, within his movie, he has chosen a special way of communicating these topics to the viewer: he makes use of media, respectively investigative media, in order to show how hard it is to explore this subject. So, not only he himself uses media as an organ of communication but he moreover embeds the investigation of certain matters into his movie. Nowadays media is the most important institution of distributing and communicating information and of transmitting one¿s own perspective about certain topics. This is not only done by directors like in the case of Gregory Nava but by everyone who stands in the centre of a certain field ¿ for instance politicians or celebrities. As Wilma de Jong, Martin Shaw and Neil Stammers have formulated in their introduction of Global Activism, Global Media (2005): ¿Media appear to be increasingly globalised, as national television, press, etc. are subsumed in gigantic worldwide flows of information and ideas, symbolized by the internet which offers social and political actors new opportunities for more direct communication.¿ So, media ¿ in our time better said ¿mass mediä ¿ stands for a direct but widely spread transmission of information to the audience. People, who decide to transmit certain messages through media ¿ in this case for instance Gregory Nava and his protagonists from Bordertown ¿ have a special aim by acting this way: they want to make a change within the field they are working for. Diese Methode wurde 1995 von Bernie Dodge, San Diego State University, entwickelt (vgl. Schreiber, 2001,1). Es handelt sich um komplexe, computergestützte Lehr-Lern-Arrangements, die handlungs-orientiertes und autonomes Lernen fördern. Hierbei erhalten Schüler nach einer Einführung in ein reales Problem eine Aufgaben-stellung, die sie mit Hilfe vorgegebener authentischer Informationsquellen bearbeiten (vgl. Gerber, 2004, 1). ¿A WebQuest is a scaffolded learning structure that uses links to essential resources on the World Wide Web and an authentic task to motivate students¿ investigation of a central, open-ended question, development of individual expertise and participation in a final group process that attempts to transform newly acquired information into a more sophisticated understanding. The best WebQuests do this in a way that inspires students to see richer thematic relationships, facilitate a contribution to the real world of learning and reflect on their own metacognitive processes¿ (March, 2003). 2. Didaktischer Hintergrund "WebQuests beziehen sich auf Überlegungen einer konstruktivistischen Lerntheorie. Diese geht davon aus, dass den Schüler/innen Wissen nicht einfach wie mit einem Trichter einge-gossen werden kann. Vielmehr müssen sie es selbst erwerben (¿)¿ (Moser, Theoretische Grundlagen für WebQuests, 2009). WebQuests ¿ ein didaktisch wertvolles Konzept: Hierbei ist ein hohes Mass an Eigenständigkeit sowie selbstgesteuertes und kooperatives Lernen gefragt. This paper presents evidence and a new model to support this viewpoint and suggests an approach to supply chain alignment that can enable cost reduction opportunities to be identified and higher profits to be achieved through collaborative strategies. For a good risk management the bank uses, among other figures, RORAC, RAROC and RARORAC to minimize the risk that each credit-borrower brings along. In the financing sector, therefore, they created the credit-ranking system. Now the next question would be, why not implement that credit-ranking in logistics to minimize risks in order to create a certain risk capital as security. Especially in the airfreight segment, where there is a lot of environmental risk involved, there has to be created a new way to prevent from high unexpected losses. Mit der Entwicklung von internetfähigen Mobilgeräten wurde das Zeitalter der Smartphones eingeläutet und der Durchbruch für das mobile Shopping geschaffen. Die smarten Begleiter bieten eine breite Fülle an ganz neuen Funktionalitäten wie z. B. der Standortbestimmung durch GPS und Bluetooth, die dem stationären Handel neue Möglichkeiten geben, seine Kunden zurück in die Filialen zu locken. Location-based Marketing heisst das Schlüsselwort, das es dem Handel ermöglichen soll, die Off- und Onlinewelt in Zukunft stärker zu vereinen und Synergiepotenziale aus der Verknüpfung von standortbezogenen, kontextrelevanten, in Echtzeit versendeten Nachrichten und Angeboten zu schöpfen. Diese wissenschaftliche Untersuchung soll einen Überblick über den Status-quo von Location-based Marketing in Deutschland geben. Dazu werden im zweiten Kapitel zunächst die Begrifflichkeiten Location-based Marketing und Location-based Service anhand ihrer konzeptionellen Einordnung in den Kontext definiert und erläutert. On its way south, the exported sea ice melts and thereby modifies the stratification of the ocean surface mixed layer, which in turn influences oceanic deep convection and water mass transformation processes in the Nordic Seas and thus impact global ocean thermohaline circulation. The lack of spatial sea ice thickness information has been one of the weaknesses for previous existing methods to determine the sea ice export. In this study a new method to obtain the sea ice volume flux exclusively from satellite measurements is presented. Previous estimates of the sea ice volume flux relayed on ice draft measurements of a single Upward Looking Sonar (ULS) in the Greenland Sea. The GLAS laser altimeter onboard the ICESat satellite launched in 2003 offers for the first time the opportunity to obtain the spatial sea ice thickness distribution up to 86°N latitude. In this study a method to determine the sea ice freeboard from ICESat altimeter data is developed and applied to nine ICESat measurement periods between 2003 and 2007. Assuming hydrostatic balance and by utilization of further satellite, in situ and climatological data these sea ice freeboard measurements are converted to sea ice thickness maps of the Fram Strait region. The satellite-based ice thickness estimates are combined with sea ice area and sea ice drift, as retrieved from AMSR-E microwave radiometer measurements at 89GHz, to obtain the sea ice volume flux. The errors of the input quantities and the final sea ice volume flux are assessed. Using this method the spatial sea ice volume flux distribution is obtained from satellite observations for the first time. The Fram Strait sea ice volume flux is further investigated by calculating a monthly sea ice volume flux time series between January 2003 and April 2007. Summer months have to be disregarded due to missing sea ice drift data. The sea ice volume flux shows large interannual and -seasonal variability. A mean monthly Fram Strait sea ice volume flux of (248±90) km3/month with respective minimum and maximum values of 112 km3/month (May 2003) and 484 km3/month (December 2004) was found...

Technical advances and strategic reconsiderations in the Business-to-Business (B2B) market have led companies to meet such challenges with new forms of collaboration. Especially considering its drawbacks, the success of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) has confirmed the demand for interfirm connectivity. Combined, current forms of collaboration are limited both in scale and scope, as few companies have had the vision and drive to prepare themselves for what is ahead of proprietary one-to-one exchanges. Since 1999, industrial organizations have separately attempted to enable common interfirm trade with the help of online trading platforms and e-marketplaces. In most industries, the use of these platforms has been reduced to low numbers of intra-industry transactions between first-movers and strategic visionaries. Despite their damped optimism, companies¿ readiness has progressed along with the market potential. Tackling the initial weaknesses, an integrative B2B trading network that is based on true interoperability and openness is now well-positioned to exploit this increased potential. Still, collaboration in its current forms may not be sufficient: considering the present dominance of customer demands, an increasing number of individual solutions must be mass-tailored to order. At first sight, this leaves companies with no choice but to at least neglect, if not give up the goals of synergies, economies of scale as well as critical mass. In reply to this increasingly dynamic and competitive market environment, companies may outsource supporting functions and focus on their core competences. So far however, Western firms have lacked access to the right partners for the required resources, allowing only the outsourcing of selected operations or collaboration on projects of limited. Similar to e-marketplaces, outsourcing has so far not only been restricted in both its strategic and operational scope, but also repeatedly been employed ineffectively or inappropriately. To fully account for the challenges of today¿s companies and to leverage their dormant potential, e-marketplaces and outsourcing are to be combined.

Ein Aspekt des Gesamtkonzepts ist das emotionale Lernen bzw. Gefühlsmanagement, welches besonders im ABC zum Tragen kommt. So wird dieses Konzept in Variationen nicht nur im pädagogischen Rahmen, sondern auch in der Therapie und der Weiterbildung bspw. von Managern angewendet. Das Thema dieser Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Fragestellung, in welchen Teilen von Konzept, Zielsetzung und Aktivitäten emotionales Lernen erfolgen kann. Hierzu wird zunächst das Konzept Adventure Based Counceling in seinen Grundzügen und Zielen vorgestellt. In einem zweiten Schritt soll dann geklärt werden, was emotionales Lernen ist. Hierzu wird kein pädagogischer, sondern ein psychologischer Ansatz gewählt, welcher seit seinem Erscheinen eine grosse Resonanz erfahren hat, auch über die Grenzen Wissenschaft hinaus: das Konzept der emotionalen Intelligenz von Goleman (2004). Die Synthese beider Bereiche vollzieht sich in zwei Schritten. Zunächst wird in einer groben Annährung die Zielsetzung des Adventure Based Counceling auf ihre emotionalen Komponenten durchleuchtet. Im zweiten Schritt soll dann ein von Goleman aufgestelltes Curriculum als Maske für Adventure Based Counceling benutzt werden. Dabei sollen einzelne Aktivitäten und Elemente ans Licht kommen, die emotionales Lernen bewirken können. Consequently the ski resort companies are more asked to improve their services, make up combinations with other resorts, built up co- operations or downsize the companies to compete with other ski resorts in the mountains. This market is really hard battled and the suppliers try to find their niches like family-, pure sport- or snowboard resorts. They started to concentrate on their core competencies at the end of the 90¿s and invested huge amounts of money to upgrade the important transport possibilities like chair lifts or gondolas in the whole resorts. Most of the smaller and middle sized ski resorts work with deficit.4 This made it extremely important in the 90¿s for businesses to introduce new divisions in the organizational structure to control and support the management.5 Nowadays only about 50 percent of the ski resorts know Controlling as a division of the management; therefore they often invest money without knowing the affects of it.6 The increasing importance of Controlling in ski resorts is shown by the fact that PwC Switzerland has got an own team for this subject. Due to the shortness of this seminar paper there is only a coarse outline of the subject with a focal point on medium and big sized companies represented with it.

The basis for my thesis is Gretchen Cline¿s essay entitled ¿The Impossibility of Getting Out ¿ The Psychopolitics of the family in Marsha Norman¿s Getting Out¿ which contains feminist, psychoanalytic and existential frameworks to show Arlene Holsclaw¿s oppression within a family that parallels the institutions that bind her. Cline herself uses Walter Davis¿ theory of the ¿crypt¿ to analyze Arlene¿s familial and the subsequent social scapegoating in order to show how women are shaped by a society in which the most moral institutions, such as family and religion, justify violation and oppression.

The missing of this resistance was one of the most puzzling experiences of the last ten years. Supplementing Rob Jenkins¿ popular thesis that India is going through a "reform by stealth" (Jenkins 1999) led by witty politicians, perfectly able to play the tunes of these various institutions, this article will provide a neo-institutionalist position with emphasize on the impact of the IMF¿s structural adjustments programme on the federal and local level, which led to a change in the formal as well as in the informal institutions themselves. There are four points in Jenkins¿ approach open to criticism and able to undermine the achievements of his research: a) the reductionist and static understanding of institutions b) the neglect of international entrepreneurs and structure influencing institutional policy c) the neglect of specific Indian "realities", forcing institutions to adapt in the face of liberalization d) the overemphasizing on the relevance of informal institutions and corruption as a means to achieve desired political outcomes. The thesis provided in this essay will be that the observed shift towards an increased directive ability of the central government is only a short-term phenomenon masking a steadily accelerating devolution of power that capacitates state- and local authorities to autonomously negotiate their self-interest in a globalized world over the long run. This process not only leads to an obvious need to redesign fiscal federalism, but will also call for an abolition of several centre-favouring precautions of Indian federalism.

In the changing perspective in the world with speed of change, speed of inventions and speed of knowledge and speed of threat on living education got to change to prepare the next generation to face these new challenges. The climatic change, depletion of resources, growing energy crisis, threat of terrorism, rapid of growth of population and the changing structure of population are new challenges the young generation would face. The world in year 2050 would not be a different place to live. Unless and otherwise education policy is framed to address the 'gloom and doom' side of world by 2050, the next generation would face a serious threat of existence. The positive futurists show that technology and science will not allow the world to laps its primitive past once again. It is clear that science and technology is the only answer to human survival. Therefore, it is important that education policy makers taking a fresh look at the policy challenges for the future. This paper makes an analysis based on the published and documented evidence what policy framework would be required in the developing countries in view of the emerging challenges to ensure a survival of the generations to come.

Bei derartigen Aktienoptionsprogrammen als Bestandteil der Entloh-nung, zumeist für Führungskräfte, wird den Teilnehmenden an diesen Program-men das Recht gewährt, Aktien des eigenen Unternehmens zu einem zuvor fest-gelegten Preis nach Ablauf einer bestimmten Zeitspanne (Sperrfrist) zu erwerben. Solche aktienbasierten Vergütungen stellen aus Unternehmenssicht Geschäftsvor-fälle dar, in welchen ein Unternehmen Aktienoptionen (Eigenkapitalinstrumente) für erhaltene Güter oder Dienstleistungen gewährt. Die Manager und/oder die Mitarbeiter eines Unternehmens sollen also durch die Gewährung einer Option entlohnt werden. Hintergrund der Ausgabe von Stock Options ist zum einen, dass sich die Vergütung des Managements in stärkerem Masse am Shareholder Value orientieren soll und damit der Principal-Agent-Konflikt durch monetäre Anreize zu lösen versucht wird. Zum anderen ergibt sich die Chance einen vom Erfolg abhängigen Anteil der Vergütung ohne einen Barmittelabfluss aus dem Unter¬nehmen zu finanzieren. Aus bilanzieller Sicht stellen sich dabei zwei zentrale Problematiken. Auf der einen Seite stellt sich beim Bilanzansatz von Stock Opti¬ons die Frage, wie die vom Unternehmen erhaltene Arbeitsleistung abzubilden ist, da diese nicht die Merkmale eines aktivierungsfähigen Vermö-genswertes erfüllt.
