Im zweiten Kapitel ¿Organisatorisches Umfeld¿ wird eine kurze Einführung in das organisatorische Umfeld gegeben, in dem diese Diplomarbeit geschrieben worden ist. Darüber hinaus folgt ein erster Einblick in die Arbeitsgebiete und die Struktur dieser Business Unit. Das dritte Kapitel ¿IT Service Management¿ vermittelt einen Einblick in den Bereich des IT Service Managements, indem die Ziele von IT Service Management erläutert werden und die Motivation für IT Abteilungen und IT-Unternehmen vorgestellt wird, bisherige Strukturen zu überdenken und sich verstärkt dienstleistungsorientiert zu organisieren. Darüber hinaus werden einige Modelle vorgestellt, die sich mit dem Management von IT-Dienstleistungen und dem Projektmanagement von IT Projekten beschäftigen. Nachdem die Bedeutung des Managements von IT Services herausgearbeitet worden ist, wird im vierten Kapitel ¿ITIL¿ ein Ansatz zum IT Service Management weitergehend im Detail beschrieben. Es beschreibt die Information Technology Infrastructure Library, den am weitest akzeptiertesten und verbreiteten Standard, der IT Dienstleistern durch Best-practices dabei helfen soll, ihre Servicequalität sowie deren effiziente Erbringung zu verbessern. Kapitel fünf, ¿Problem Management¿, beschäftigt sich mit der Einführung des ITIL-Prozesses Problem Management in einer Business Unit der Bayer Business Services GmbH. In diesem Kapitel werden die Inhalte des Prozesses näher beschrieben und darauf aufbauend unternehmensspezifische Anpassungen sowie Massnahmen zur Einführung des Prozesses vorgestellt. In diesem Rahmen werden ebenfalls Kosten und Risiken der Einführung sowie die Möglichkeit des Outsourcings diskutiert. Im sechsten Kapitel ¿Zusammenfassung und Ausblick¿ werden wesentliche Aspekte der Arbeit zusammengefasst sowie ein Ausblick auf den weiteren Projektverlauf und die Zukunft des ITIL-Frameworks gegeben wird.

History and Legacy of Industrialization in Europe and Asia, language: English, abstract: The purpose of this paper is the discussion of a recent article presented by Joel Mokyr who offered, according to his own words, a new ¿variant of the European Miracle question¿1. The main thesis of his article The Great Synergy: the European Enlightenment as a factor in Modern Economic growth points to the European Enlightenment as being a crucial factor for attaining and establishing modern, i.e. sustainable economic growth in Europe once the British Industrial Revolution had overcome its humble beginnings at the end of the eighteenth century. Mokyr argues that the stability of economic growth which was reached in Europe after 1825 was to a great extent due to a new attitude towards the relation between technology and progress. This new attitude was the result of a development that had its roots in the European Enlightenment where the foundations for a new understanding of science and technology were laid. The outcome of this development was the unique ¿idea of research¿ that made scientists and craftsmen cooperate, giving way to a very fruitful convergence of science and technology that helped making sustainable economic growth possible. This evolution mingled with the modification of institutional mechanisms which was a result of the Enlightenment, too. These two trends both formed a ¿Great Synergy¿ that finally yielded the ¿European Miracle¿. To prove and strengthen his thesis, Mokyr compares the history of European sciences with those practiced in China coming to see that Chinese sciences were confined to and restricted by the Mandarin rulers, thus a situation similar to pre-enlightened Europe. But his comparisons to the Asian continent are limited to the situation in China. It could therefore be telling to have a look at Indian sciences, especially when discovering that India ¿had a wellestablished scientific and technological tradition of its own long before being subjected to an extended period of European colonial rule¿2. Going deeper into Indian history we will see, that on top of that, before the colonization by the British, ¿traditional knowledge generated large-scale economic productivity for Indians¿3. Departing from these considerations, the present paper will put Mokyr¿s assumption under inspection examining the Indian history of science and technology. The arising problem is thus twofold, implicating questions that are clearly inter-related with each other and which are touching fields both of science and economy. [...]

Never before trade and commerce , prosperity and peace have been as common as in the presence of 21th Century). The time of the hitherto so -called " Cold War " between capitalism and communism since the end of World War II until 1989 has been designated in "Long Peace" . After the end of the East -West conflict since 1989 arose the "New Peace", as characterized by PINKER . Empathy , reason and self-control act as blockades of violence and war cries . Empathy , reason and self-control steer human evolution as the better angels of our nature to the increase of human rights and peacefulness . Pacifism and altruism as guiding principles of a peace education could be transported through the emphasis on empathy , reason, self-control and charity.

Traditionelle Banken stellen in der Regel nur Kunden Kredite zur Verfügung, die Sicherheiten besitzen. 2006 hatten unter anderem dadurch 80 % der Weltbevölkerung keinen Zugang zu Krediten. Mikrofinanzinstitute (MFI) und die von ihnen zur Verfügung gestellten Mikrokredite (MK) änderten diese Situation. Spätestens seit die Vereinten Nationen 2005 das Internationale Jahr des Mikrokredits ausgerufen haben und Mohammad Yunus 2006 für die Gründung der Grameen Bank einen Nobelpreis erhalten hat, sind MFI und MK ein populäres Thema und die Entwicklung ist rasant. Es gibt heutzutage kaum ein humanitäres Entwicklungsprojekt, welches auf eine Mikrofinanzierungskomponente verzichtet. In kürzester Zeit sind schätzungsweise 10000 Mikrofinanzinstitute mit einem Kreditportfolio von ungefähr 25 Milliarden $ und ca. 100 Millionen Kunden entstanden. Obwohl MF philanthropischen Ursprungs ist, rückt dabei immer mehr die Wirtschaftlichkeit in den Fokus. Denn die verlangten Zinsen sind relativ hoch, die Ausfallquoten niedrig, die Zahl potentieller Kunden für MFI wird auf 1,5 Mrd. geschätzt und das Geschäftsmodell hat sich auch in Zeiten der Finanzkrise als stabil erwiesen. Die vorliegende Bachelorarbeit soll aufzeigen, welche Entwicklung Mikrofinanzinstitute durchlaufen hat und wie die Zukunftsaussichten sind.
