In this book, we put forward a holistic conceptual framework for implementing Scholarship of Learning and Teaching (SoLT) in higher education. Unlike previous SoLT studies, which usually focus on a specific aspect, here various aspects are integrated into a holistic framework. Further, it identifies three main stakeholders, namely, the higher education institution, teaching staff, and students. These stakeholders are in turn connected by four interlocking themes: staff professional development, enhancement of student learning experiences, assessment, and digital technologies. As a concept of gradual development of learner autonomy, the CLA represents a new dynamic learner autonomy development process consisting of individual, competitive, collaborative, and autonomous stages. The CLA advocated in the book emphasizes the constructive role of teachers and educational institutions can play with other stakeholders in developing autonomy in their learners. The book also suggests that it is a shared responsibility that students, teachers, educational establishments, families, society and the educational systems should assume in a spirit of partnership.

Die mit der Verformung verbundenen Änderungen der Kristallorientierungen lassen sich heute auch bei Vielkristallen weitgehend deuten, bieten aber ge genüber der Verformung der Einkristalle eine Reihe zusätz licher Probleme. Noch mehr gilt dies für die Vorgänge der Erholung und Rekristallisation als Grundlage der Rekristal lisationstexturen. Heterogene Bestandteile beeinflussen die Anisotropie der Eigenschaften, da sie Texturbildung hervor rufen oder vermindern können, doch sind gerade hier noch viele Fragen offen. Auch in der Praxis der Metallverarbeitung und der Ferti gung von Bauteilen zeigt sich mehr und mehr, dass eine wirk lich werkstoffgerechte Herstellung von Halbzeug sowie die Weiterverarbeitung, insbesondere durch Umformung, ohne Kenntnis der Texturen und ihrer Wirkungen nicht mehr aus kommen kann. Die bewusste Erzeugung bestimmter Texturen ge winnt bei althergebrachten Materialien (Stahlbleche) und neuen Metallen (Titan, Zirkon) zunehmend an Interesse. Es schien daher wünschenswert, das Thema Texturen in einem besonderen Symposium zu behandeln, das vom Institut für Metallkunde und Metallphysik der Technischen Universität Clausthal vom 2.-5. Oktober 1968 in Clausthal-Zellerfeld veranstaltet wurde. Die Vorträge umfassen ein weites Gebiet der Wissenschaft und Technik, in dem Texturen eine Rolle spielen. Lediglich die magnetischen Eigenschaften wurden nicht berücksichtigt, um das Programm nicht zu umfangreich werden zu lassen.
