Das Weingut Tenuta Argentiera liegt in einem wunderschönen Teil der Maremma und überblickt das Meer und die umliegenden Wälder. Es befindet sich im Süden der renommierten DOC Bolgheri, die für die Erzeugung grosser Weine bekannt ist. Die Weinberge Argentiera, Villa di Donoratico, Poggio ai Ginepri und Ventaglio reichen vom Meer bis auf 200 Meter hinauf und bieten einzigartige Mikroklimata. Poggio ai Ginepri Rosso ist eine Cuvée aus Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah und Merlot. Die verschiedenen Sorten werden separat vinifiziert, zum Teil in gebrauchten Barriques und zum Teil in Stahltanks ausgebaut, bevor die Assemblage erfolgt. Die Reben wachsen zwischen 80 und 100 Meter über dem Meer. Der Poggio ai Ginepri Rosso hat eine fein ausdifferenziere und wohl konzentrierte Struktur. Im Glas offenbart der Wein ein sehr klares, vielschichtiges und tiefes Bouquet. Trotz seiner Struktur und Intensität zeigt er sich im Mund angenehm rund und weich.
