Das CAPM bildet ¿ innerhalb seiner Prämissen ¿ eine mathematisch ableitbare Grundlage, die eine gute Approximation der Realität darstellt und einen grossen Einfluss auf das praktische Portfoliomanagement der Banken ausübt. Dort findet das CAPM bis heute beispielsweise im Bereich der Performance-Messung / Depotoptimierung eine breite Anwendung. The issues and problems that are associated with implementing and gaining support for BPM within organisations are well known. BPM maturity, however, is something that organisations aspire to ¿ but know little about. Research to date indicates that many organisations do not progress past very rudimentary levels of BPM maturity. This is likely due to BPM being seen as a complex and complicated issue. This research looks at what successful organisations see as being key to BPM and what organisations that are unsuccessful in BPM implementation consider being the issues that contributed to their failure. BPM is defined as a holistic management practice that includes the alignment of processes with the corporate strategy and especially with strategic and operational goals. Whilst the use of both methodologies and information technology, as supporting and enabling functions, is important for BPM, organisational and cultural change is identified as one of the critical success factors for BPM implementations. This research focuses on defining BPM maturity in a meaningful and measurable way. It addresses the complexity of BPM maturity be firstly defining what BPM maturity means and then developing a model that can be used to measure current levels of maturity. In addition, BPM-related benefits are identified, such as increased effectiveness, efficiency, or quality. Increased BPM maturity is characterised as being correlated with an increased probability of achieving these benefits. An increased maturity can lead to a decreased gap between objectives and a current situation. Objectives are also more likely to be met due to less varying results and, therefore, greater ability to predict results. The organisation-wide deeper understanding of how the business is conducted results in work being more consistent and repeatable and as a result more effectively and efficiently. Other benefits of the model are the ability of the organisation to determine strengths and weaknesses in current applications. In doing this, the organisations see benefits in being able to expand knowledge sharing within the organisation by learning from the successes within its own self.

The reason for this price dispersion is caused by consumer heterogeneity. Salop and Stiglitz explain, that ¿because of differences in preference or ability, some agents perform much better than others in market decisions.¿ To model this kind of heterogeneity they assign different costs of gathering certain information to the consumers. For simplicity they part the consumers in two groups: The first one consists of low-cost information gatherer and the other group has higher cost to gain complete information. For further simplicity there are just two levels of information: to be completely informed or to be not informed at all. Furthermore the costs to become an informed consumer are fixed. The differences in information in this model regard the locations of the shops. All consumers know about all prices that are in the market, they just do not know where the shop with a certain (the lowest) price is. The shops on the other hand have complete information about the market. They know about the differences between the consumers and can compute the demand that will occur, when they ask a certain price. So they face a trade-off between higher prices and lower demand. It is important to state why there is a possibility of raising the price and not to loose all demand like it would be in a perfect market. When the rise in price is not too high, it does not pay for the high-cost information gatherer to become completely informed. Their expected loss by buying randomly either in low- or high-priced shops is lower than the fixed cost of gathering the information. All together this consumer heterogeneity and the fully informed shops can lead to price dispersion in equilibrium, even though the goods are homogeneous and there is the difference in information between the actors.

Der Mann, dessen Vater als er sechs war die Familie verliess, schafft sich einen imaginären Freund, Tyler Durden, der alles ist, was er selbst nie war (und hatte). Doch bald stellt der Erzähler fest, dass er nicht alleine ist mit seinen Gefühlen. Aus einer Schlägerei mit Tyler entwickeln sich illegale Box-Clubs, und aus den illegalen Box-Clubs eine grosse terroristische Verschwörung, die sich die Vernichtung der Zivilisation zum Ziel gesetzt hat. In meiner Arbeit stelle ich also zunächst die Frage nach den Triebregungen und Motiven in der Biographie des Erzählers, die zu seiner Bewusstseinsspaltung führten und schliesslich warum Tyler Durden, das zweite Ich des Erzählers, das Potenzial besitzt sich an die Spitze einer Massenbewegung zu stellen. Hierzu werde ich zunächst einige Aspekte der Psychoanalyse Sigmund Freuds erläutern und auf dieser theoretischen Basis den Roman Fight Club untersuchen. Ausdrücklich soll es nicht darum gehen den Autor Chuck Palahniuk auf die Couch zu legen, in seiner Biographie Gründe dafür zu suchen, warum er schreibt, was er schreibt, sondern ausschliesslich darum, einen Schlüssel für die textimmanente Psychologie des Romans zu finden.

Schaut man sich Teile der Sportvereinslandschaft in verschiedenen westeuropäischen Ländern jedoch genauer an, so erkennt man bald, wie differenziert und variantenreich sie ist, welche unterschiedlichen Entwicklungen die Sportvereine in den jeweiligen Ländern durchlaufen haben, wie andersartig ihre Leistungen und Strukturen sind, wie verschieden sie organisiert sind und verwaltet werden, und wie unterschiedlich ihre Bedeutung und Funktion in der Gesellschaft des jeweiligen Landes sein kann. Die Ursachen für diese Differenzen sind mannigfaltig und unterliegen unterschiedlichsten historischen, soziokulturellen, politischen und wirtschaftlichen Rahmenbedingungen. Im Rahmen eines Ländervergleichs zwischen Deutschland und Spanien sind daher folgende Fragestellungen von Bedeutung: Welche Unterschiede und Gemeinsamkeiten gibt es hinsichtlich der historischen Entwicklung des vereinsorganisierten Sports in Deutschland und Spanien, und welche Rolle spielen politische, wirtschaftliche und soziokulturelle Hintergründe? Wie sehen die Wechselwirkungen zwischen dem vereinsorganisierten Sport (in Deutschland und Spanien) und dem Staat heute aus, und in welchem Ausmass beeinflusst der Staat mit seiner Sportpolitik die Leistungen und Strukturen des vereinsorganisierten Sports? Wie sehen die Wechselwirkungen zwischen dem vereinsorganisierten Sport (in Deutschland und Spanien) und den privaten Haushalten heute aus, und wie stark nehmen die privaten Haushalte Einfluss auf die Leistungen und Strukturen der Sportvereine?
