This research paper investigates the effective of product placement for the automobile industry and its actual effect on consumer behavior. However, consumers¿ attitudes, perceptions, and values tend to differ depending on their culture; thus, further research shall concentrate on the possible differences between American, European, and Asian consumers. First, the introduction will state the objective of the study as well as research purposes. Next, the background of the study will present a conceptual framework, theoretical foundations on which the research will be based, development of research questions that are to be answered, and a hypotheses development. As it follows, the research methodology will formulate the information needs and data collection methods, the questionnaire development, and the sample design. The data analyses and findings part will use descriptive statistics and present the results from the quantitative research as well as other findings. Swift's main purpose in using the satirical element in this book, as well as in most of his other works, is to "(...) vex the world rather than divert it (...)" (Swift 264) and thus to appeal to human's ability to change situations for the better. This believe derived from Swift's misanthropic worldview, not in the sense that he didn't have faith in human nature and had given up on any notion of ideals, but he rather, arisen out of disappointment in humankind, believed that man nevertheless was capable of reform. Swift himself laid bare his radically negative view of human beings in a letter to his friend Alexander Pope in 1725: "I have ever hated all Nations professions and Communityes and all my love is towards individualls for instance I hate the tribe of Lawyers, but I love Councellor such a one (...) and the rest principally I hate and detest that animal called man, although I hartily love John, Peter, Thomas and so forth." (Swift 264/ 265) Accordingly Swift's focus lies on the individual himself to realize unjust circumstances and to change them by acting. In order to achieve changes in society or even in human beings themselves, Swift makes use of different satirical techniques, which will be closer looked at in each of the four books of Gulliver's Travels, paying attention to Swifts targets and consequently to the effectiveness of his satire.

Zu Beginn diente es vorwiegend der Informationsverbreitung. Heute dient es dem Grossteil aller deutschen Haushalte als Unterhaltungsmedium. Im Jahr 2010 sah der durchschnittliche deutsche Bürger 223 Minuten fern pro Tag. Dies sind immerhin fast vier Stunden täglich. Im vergangenen Jahr lag die Anzahl der frei empfangbaren TV- Sender, Private und Öffentlich-Rechtliche, bei 271. Diese Sender finanzieren sich bekanntlich komplett oder zu einem grossen Teil über die Werbung. Diese ist grundsätzlich im Rundfunkstaatsvertrag geregelt und verlangt von privaten Fernsehanstalten, Werbung zusammenhängend zu schalten, wodurch einzelne Unterbrechungen zur Ausnahme gehören. Zwei Werbeblöcke sollen mindestens 20 Minuten auseinander liegen und dürfen die 15% Marke der kompletten Sendedauer nicht überschreiten. Die Richtlinien für Öffentlich-Rechtliche fallen etwas strenger aus. Lediglich 20 Minuten am Tag werden zugelassen. Keine Werbeschaltungen nach 20 Uhr und an Sonn- und Feiertagen. Diese gesetzlichen Vorschriften werden auf Grund niedriger Strafen zwar regelmässig verletzt, motivieren die deutschen Fernsehanstalten jedoch trotzdem, neue sogenannte Sonderwerbeformen zu entwickeln. Hierzu zählt unter anderem das Product Placement (PP). Ob Effektivität oder verfassungs- und wettbewerbsrechtliche Zulässigkeit, kein angewandter Werbestil beschäftigte Betriebswirtschaftler und Juristen so wie PP. Und dies bereits seit Ende des zweiten Weltkriegs. 1956 erscheint der Vorläufer der Milka-Schokolade für 18 Sekunden im Heimatfilm ¿Und ewig rauschen die Wälder¿. Das vorliegende Handout befasst sich mit dem Thema: ¿Product Placement im deutschen Film und Fernsehen - Richtlinien, Verstössen und Zukunftsaussichten.¿ Darüber hinaus werden einige Beispiele aus der Vergangenheit für PP im Vertriebskanal Deutsches Fernsehen aufgezeigt.

This development has been accompanied by the emergence of spot markets where electricity is traded between producer and purchaser. Since the price charged to the end-customer turns out to be more exposed to market prices of electricity, the need for derivatives with a risk management purpose arises. A more recent asset class such as structured products may be used as a risk management tool. This paper focuses on the pricing of various structured products with the Swiss energy price indices as an underlying. Since electricity has particular features that result in a peculiar stochastic process, the pricing of electricity derivatives cannot rely on traditional pricing formulas that have been developed for equity or commodity underlyings. Rather, there is a need for a dynamic model that captures the unique characteristics of electricity. In this paper, a new jump diffusion process is proposed and estimated that is able to incorporate the Swiss electricity price properties. Building on this model, a Monte Carlo simulation is applied that allows one to price differing electricity derivatives that are embedded in structured products. Using the option pricing results, the feasibility and attractiveness of a defined range of structured products is investigated. In order to include the special properties of electricity, new structured products are developed that are more appropriate as risk management tools. This is the focus for the assignment. A general guideline for an efficient product development process should be created with the overall objective ¿ customer centric product development combined with an improved internal workflow. Anderson et al (2006, p. 1) states that customer value proposition is one of the most widely used terms in business in recent years. So it is important that a company is able to help customers understand the superior value of the products or service offered. Under pressure to keep costs down, customers may only look at the price and so it is important to think about the customer value proposition but also the comparison to the competitors of a specific market environment. This should flow into this assignment as well. Another problem of product development is that in many companies it is rather influenced by opinions of different sales people then by facts and figures. According Annacchino (2007, p. 101) a lot of companies tend to make a mistake at the product definition step, so that the customer is not really involved in the product development process. In reference to the definition of customer-defined needs there are different ways: ¿ A company can use direct customer surveys to solicit feedback and to obtain information in a direct manner. ¿ Another way is a focused group discussion which allows multiple-person input and prompted discussion to generate ideas. ¿ A third possibility is a suggestion system and communication platform for customers and stakeholders.

To bridge the gap, this study aims to develop a computer integrated optimisation system (CIOS). In this research, virtual reality (VR) technology is employed, in the first phase, for simulation purpose and combination of design of experiments (DOE) and SAPSO-based ANN method is used for optimising the simulation results in order to achieve global optimal solution for the control parameters. Apparently, the proposed approach is a new integration system that can help the users determine optimal parameter settings to accomplish the MIMO injection moulding process with competitive benefits of cost and production efficiency.

Especially in those industries organizations rely on constant and ongoing innovation to create and sustain competitive advantages and, therefore, to stay in business. Those innovative companies that constantly innovate and that are characterized through a high level of entrepreneurship can also be illustrated as ¿knowledge-creating companies¿ or ¿learning organization¿. But what makes them so innovative? How do they choose an innovation style? How is innovation managed? My point in this paper will be that innovation management should be able to answerer the following three questions: ¿How?¿ Which innovation style is used ¿When?¿ On which level of the innovation process is a style used ¿Why?¿ Reason for the innovation style used on that level These questions seem to be most important since Fagerberg states in the introduction of the Oxford Handbook of Innovation: ¿In spite of the large amount of research in this area during the past fifty years, we know much less about why and how innovation occurs than what it leads to.¿ Additionally, the question of ¿when?¿ is added to conceptualize the innovation process into dependent innovation process levels that follow each other in a distinct order.
