1979 erschien das Buch "Marx oltre Marx". Die darin von Negri entwickelte Lesart ist heute zum Bezugspunkt aktueller Debatten geworden, die sich um immaterielle Arbeit, Postkapitalismus und ein vermeintlich drohendes Ende lebendiger Arbeit durch die Technologien des Postfordismus sowie die Digitalisierung und Künstliche Intelligenz drehen.
