Die Evaluation von Software hat sich zu einem zunehmend wichtigen Bestandteil des Gestaltungsprozesses von Softwareprodukten entwickelt. Seit den 80er Jahren kommen im Rahmen von Softwareentwicklungsprozessen verschiedenste Evaluationsmethoden sowohl in qualitätsprüfender als auch in gestaltungsunterstützender Funktion zur Anwendung. Ziel dieser Methoden ist es die Software durch Evaluation an Nutzerbedürfnisse anzupassen und so die Gebrauchstauglichkeit zu maximieren. Allerdings lässt sich für eine Vielzahl dieser Methoden ein Mangel an konkreten Manualen und Verfahrensrichtlinien feststellen. Zur Entwicklung solcher Methodenmanuale bedarf es valider Vergleiche der jeweiligen Methoden um die Vor- und Nachteile einzelner Methoden(varianten) genauer bestimmen zu können. Im Rahmen der vorliegenden Arbeit wurde ein Beitrag hierzu geleistet, indem zwei prominente Methoden der Softwareevaluation (Lautes Denken und Videokonfrontation) anhand verschiedener Variablen verglichen wurden. Der Vergleich der beiden Methoden wurde anhand des User Action Framework strukturiert, das den Anspruch eines umfassenden Rahmenkonzeptes für die Qualitätssicherung in der Softwareevaluation erhebt.
