Ferraton Syrah Collines Rhodaniennes ist ein junger Rotwein, der aus der Sorte Syrah in der IGP Collines Rhodaniennes im Rhonetal (Frankreich) von Ferraton Père & Fils hergestellt wird. Ferraton Père & Fils wurde 1946 von Jean Örens Ferraton gegründet und ist ein Familienunternehmen im Herzen des Rhonetals. Es bietet mehr als 100 Referenzen, die mit mehr als 90 Parker- und Wine Spectator-Punkten bewertet wurden. Ein Weingut, das aufgefrischt wurde, als es 2006 vom Freund und Mitarbeiter des Projekts, Michel Chapoutier, übernommen wurde. Mit 3 Hektar Weinbergen in Hermitage, 6 Hektar in Crozes Hermitage und 4 Hektar in Saint Jospeh, alle im Norden des Rhonetals gelegen, behalten ihre Weine, obwohl sie aktualisiert wurden, ihre eigene Identität. Ferraton Syrah Collines Rhodaniennes stammt aus einem Weinberg mit Boden aus Granit und Schwemmland, der sich am rechten Ufer der Rhone befindet. Er wird von einem kontinentalen Klima mit erheblichen Schwankungen zwischen Tag und Nacht beeinflusst. Es wird konventionelle Landwirtschaft praktiziert, wobei der Ausdruck des Terroirs als Bezugspunkt genommen wird. Die Weinlese erfolgt zum optimalen Zeitpunkt der Reife. Sobald die Trauben des Ferraton Syrah Collines Rhodaniennes ausgewählt und entrappt sind, werden 80 % in Bottichen und die restlichen 20 % in Demi-Muids vinifiziert, mit Extraktionen durch Schlagen und Umpumpen. Der Most mazeriert ca. 20 Tage mit Temperaturkontrolle. Schließlich reift der Wein 6 Monate in französischen Eichenfässern. Ferraton Syrah Collines Rhodaniennes ist ein sehr empfehlenswerter Wein, um sich mit den Rhône-Weinen vertraut zu machen. Ein Rotwein mit konzentrierter Frucht und würziger Mineralität, der ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis bietet.
