Master's Thesis from the year 2009 in the subject Art - Miscellaneous, grade: B (ECTS), 8 out of 10, University of Groningen, course: Double-Degree Erasmus Mundus Master Course "Euroculture: Europe in the Wider World", language: English, abstract: Beginning with the last decades of the 20th century it has been an unprecedented tendency to create outposts of big museums abroad. The opening of the Hermitage-Guggenheim Exhibition Centre in Las Vegas and the decision of creating a filial branch of the Louvre in Abu-Dhabi in 2012 can serve as an illustrative example of this phenomenon. The purpose of the present Master Thesis is to show that despite political, economic and linguistic diversities that exist between the Netherlands and Russia, strong cultural ties and cross-cultural dialogues have remained since the 18th century and are flourishing nowadays. I will demonstrate what has been done in practice in order to strengthen international cross-cultural bonds and to introduce foreign cultural heritage abroad in particular. The aim of the Master Thesis is to study the examples of museum models in the 21st century illustrated by the case study of the Hermitage Amsterdam Complex and the Guggenheim Bilbao Museum ¿satellite¿ museums. Taking into account the importance and special significance of the latter, the choice of that particular case study seems rational and illustrative. I will present the motives and goals of ¿expansion¿ tendencies of large art museums in the Netherlands and in Spain. I will elaborate on difference in motives beyond the opening of museums¿ outposts by Russian and by American museums in the European Union. What are the crucial steps the museum authorities tend to undertake in order to safeguard and promote the art Europe-wide? I will point out how art mobility is connected to the present area of globalization. In my Master Thesis I will explore the following question: ¿Can the creation of museum ¿satellites¿ abroad be seen as the future model of museums¿ development?¿ In order to address this question the present paper is structured around four chapters. In the beginning of the Master Thesis I explore the notion of European museum and important features of Russian and Dutch cultural policies. Further on, I narrow down my research of art mobility by using the case of museum ¿satellites¿ created by the Hermitage and Guggenheim networks. Finally, I describe main principles of museum expansion under the challenges of modern times in order to identify possible museum models.

Im Rahmen der Arbeit wurde versucht, die Vergangenheit, den aktuellen Zustand, die Reife und die Zukunft des Konstrukts IT-Service Management, nebst signifikanter Frameworks, Zertifizierungen und Werkzeuge etc., vollständig darzustellen, zu messen bzw. zu identifizieren. Dazu wurden Ziele des ITSMs herausgearbeitet und die Elemente des identifizierten State of the Art auf ihren Zielerreichungsgrad kritisch untersucht. Zudem wurde eine Online-Umfrage zu spezifischen Themen rund um das IT-Service Management durchgeführt, deren Ergebnis in die Analyse des Zielerreichungsgrades einfliesst. Aus den gesammelten Erkenntnissen aus Theorie und Praxis wurde ein Lösungsansatz für ein ganzheitliches IT-Service Management entwickelt, um die ITSM-Ziele bestmöglich zu erreichen. Abgerundet wird das Ergebnis der Arbeit durch die Lieferung eines Ausblicks auf die Zukunft der ITSM-Thematik.

Ukraine has joined these newly independent states with little reliance on the institutions of the civil society. The developments within the Ukrainian art reflect the implications that the failure of the civil society institutionalization has for this particular domain of Ukrainian society. Ukrainian contemporary art that is presented at the major international art museums and art festivals of the contemporary art is a post-Soviet phenomenon that occupies the junction between Ukrainian art, international institutions and civil society. As a field of artistic activity Ukrainian contemporary art strives to differentiate itself from Ukrainian art that originated in the environment largely formed in the pre-independence, Soviet period. The struggles for authority within the field of Ukrainian contemporary art have involved Ukrainian institutions that are outside of it. Both institutional and personal agency within the field of Ukrainian contemporary art is affected by the lack of institutionalized civil society in Ukraine. In the theoretical terms of Pierre Bourdieu it is the case of the lack of autonomy that the field of Ukrainian contemporary art has. The sought-for autonomy would allow the field of Ukrainian contemporary art to exercise control over the resources of artistic authority. How this finds its articulation in the personal narratives of the major Ukrainian contemporary art figures and in the conflicts that happen in the field of Ukrainian contemporary art is the topic of this research. The methodology of multi-sited anthropology adopted in this research makes it possible to trace the contours of the authority relationships among contemporary artists, art institutions and curators at the time of inquiry. The research draws on twenty in-depth interviews arranged in 2001 with the leading figures of the Ukrainian contemporary art, with the prominent art curators that cooperate with the Ukrainian contemporary artists, and with the representatives of the major contemporary art galleries and foundations of Ukraine.

Als weitere Frage stellt sich demnach auch die Frage nach der Herkunft des Begriffes. In wie weit diese zwei einfach anmutenden Fragen jedoch nicht einfach zu beantworten sind, erschliesst sich dem Interessenten spätestens wenn dieser sich ebenfalls noch der Begriffsherkunft widmet. Wir sind also in einem Bereich, den die Historik, die Germanistik, die Linguistik und nicht zuletzt die interdisziplinäre Kulturwissenschaft interessiert. In dieser Referatsausarbeitung ist es mein Ziel die Musiker der Alta Capella darzustellen. Wie eingangs erwähnt, bleibt es den Gedanken nicht erspart nach deren Herkunft zu fragen, bei der man nach gründlicher Lektüre entsprechender Fachliteratur schnell fündig wird. Dass die Musiker der Alta Capella von den mittelalterlichen Spielleuten stammen, bzw. sich aus ihnen herausbildeten, ist an Quellen neuerer Untersuchungen eindeutig und schnell belegbar. Was ist aber mit deren Herkunft wiederum? Hierzu verwende ich hauptsächlich die Literatur von Wolfgang Hartung, Antonie Schreier-Hornung, Walter Salmen, ebenso Artikel aus dem MGG. Möchte man sich eine Musikergruppe, ja einen ganzen Berufsstand in einem Zeitraum von ca. 1400 - 1550 anschauen, so kommt man nicht umhin, rund 1000jährige Musik- und Kulturgeschichte zu betrachten. Anhand dieser darzustellenden Zeitspanne, kann diese Ausarbeitung also nur Ausschnitte bieten. Das Vorgehen soll hier sein, ausgehend vom Spielmann des Mittelalters, der Problematik seiner Traditionen, seiner Darstellung, seines sozialen und kulturellen Standes hinführen zu einem Überblick über die Aufgaben, Funktionen und dem gewandelten Bildes des Musikers in der Renaissance und zur Etablierung eines neuen Berufsstandes, begründet erstmals durch die Vereinigungen der so genannten ¿Alta Capellä.
