Nehmen die HNPCC-Patienten und ihre Familienangehörigen, die zu einem humangenetisch/klinischen Beratungsgesprhumangenetisch/klinischen Beratungsgespräch kommen, auch tatsächlich die ihnen empfohlenen Vorsorgemassnahmen in Anspruch? Zusätzlich interessierte die Fragestellung nach dem Einfluss der Kontroll- und Kompetenzerwartungen und hier besonders der Einfluss der Selbstwirksamkeit, die gerade bei Gesundheitsverhalten im Allgemeinen eine wesentliche Rolle zu spielen scheint. Allerdings weisen die Ergebnisse darauf hin, dass dies für die erbliche Erkrankung HNPCC nicht unbedingt zutrifft. Es wurde ebenfalls deutlich, dass die Beratung in ihrer jetzigen pathogenetischen Orientierung nicht dazu führt, das Vorsorgeverhalten der Ratsuchenden massgeblich zu verändern. Deshalb liegt die Schlussfolgerung nahe, bei zukünftigen Beratungen mehr die salutogenetische Sichtweise zu betonen, um die Ratsuchenden besonders in ihrer Selbstwirksamkeitserwartung zu unterstützen.
