Historical Collection Cold War, 504 Elemente, 1 Figur, Massstab 1:32 Die S-102 ist ein lizenziertes MIG-15-Kampfflugzeug, das in der Tschechoslowakei hergestellt wird. Die Produktion von Kampfflugzeugen mit Düsenantrieb war ein grosser qualitativer Sprung in der Industrie der UdSSR. Bald wurden die Produktionskapazitäten dieser fortschrittlichen Jäger in die Tschechoslowakei und nach Polen verlagert. Der S-102 wurde ursprünglich im Werk Rudy Letov und ab 1953 bei Aero Vodochody hergestellt. Die MIG-15 wurde zu einem sowjetischen Exportschlager und wurde von den von der UdSSR abhängigen europäischen Ländern sowie asiatischen und afrikanischen Ländern eingesetzt. Maschinen dieses Typs nahmen an vielen Konflikten teil, sie erlangten den grössten Ruhm während des Koreakrieges und kämpften am Himmel mit dem amerikanischen Gegenstück des nordamerikanischen F-86 Sabre. Modell des Flugzeugs S-102 (MIG-15) in den historischen Farben der Tschechoslowakei wurde im Massstab 1:32 gestaltet und besteht aus 504 hochwertigen Elementen. Alle Markierungen und Beschriftungen auf dem Modell sind Aufdrucke, die während des Gebrauchs nicht abfärben. Das Set hat bewegliche Elemente wie Räder und eine aufklappbare Kabine, in der wir eine tolle Figur eines tschechoslowakischen Piloten platzieren können. Das Set enthält einen Präsentationsständer mit einem Schild mit dem Namen des Sets und dem Nationalitätskennzeichen. Dank der intuitiven Anleitung mit klaren Symbolen ist der Aufbau einfach. Das Flugzeug ist ein Muss für alle Fans der Luftfahrt, des Militärs und der Militärtechnik. Es ist auch eine perfekte Ergänzung zu den Sammlungen Streitkräfte, Kalter Krieg und Koreakrieg. This study will compare the USSR and the United States according to their cinematic use of science fiction in the late 1950s and 1960s in order to coincide with the period of de-Stalinisation and thaw in the USSR, and late McCarthyism in the United States. The genre provides an opportunity to express the two powers' scientific stand-off through fiction, and serves as a vehicle for the dissemination of ideas and propaganda. Post-1956 marks the time when the period of de-Stalinisation officially began and science fiction saw a carefully crafted rebirth for it served as a tool that could reflect the socialist ideal and quasi-religious faith in science that was promoted by the party. Science fiction uniquely demands for an imaginative view of the future, and therefore, corresponds with the Marxist- Leninist future-oriented ideology. For this period, the themes for American science fiction are hyperbolised monsters and invasion, and reflect the fear of the otherness of the Soviet Union, and its threat on domestic ideals. These themes are reflected in movies as 'Angry Red Planet', and 'Them!'. On the other hand, Soviet science fiction movies focus on the heroic Soviet man who frequently receives calls for help from outer space, and overcomes great trials to save those not living in utopia. This storyline is represented in 'Towards a Dream', and 'The Sky is calling'. The author gives special attention to the Soviet movie 'The Sky is calling' and the subsequent redubbed American version 'Battle beyond the Sun'. Further, she addresses alterations or plot, and subtle propaganda messages in the Soviet movies 'Planet of Storms', and the Hollywood remake 'Journey to the Prehistoric Planet'.

In 1945, after the war had ended, the world split into East and West in political terms. The frontier between the two blocs cut straight through Germany and quickly became a dividing line between contrasting cultural systems. In the Soviet occupation zone, major opera houses and concert halls rose again from the ruins and long-established orchestras and choirs were revived. Once the GDR had been founded, the Socialist Unity Party took over responsibility for cultural affairs and quickly developed the idea of a nation of culture-loving working people in deliberate contrast to their portrayal of “Americanized; western capitalists softened by endless consumption”. Together with sport, classical music was used to advertise the merits of the GDR. Like all other areas of art it was instrumentalized for ideological purposes, and its protagonists - provided they displayed the necessary talent and were not regarded with suspicion by the state security service - often enjoyed extraordinary privileges. This combination of art and dictatorship created an environment in which music-making of world quality was able to flourish. Through case studies of individuals who lived under the system, the documentary explores the fates of both the privileged and the non-privileged, and delivers insight into the influence of the political system on artistic life. The film includes interviews with contemporary witnesses both from GDR and the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG).
