Weder Elizabeth, noch ihre ältere Schwester Jane (Susannah Harker), die eigentlich Mr. Bingley zugedacht war, ist bisher unter der Haube. Doch es soll noch wilder werden in dieser Beziehungsgeschichte. Mr. Darcy erklärt Elizabeth seine Liebe, die seinen Antrag aber schroff zurückweist. Wird die arme Mrs. Bennett jemals Ruhe finden und ihre Töchter in den Hafen der Ehe lotsen?
